The Domaine des Fargues is an old farmhouse of the XVI century with some ten acres of land. The estate is situated in the Perigord Noir in Sainte Foy de Longas, between Périgueux (town-prefecture prosperous and cultural prefecture 35 km away), Bergerac (and its wines at 25 km) and Sarlat (medieval treasure at 45 km).
In direct proximity of the valleys of the Vézère and of the Dordogne.
You will find in the immediate proximity, towns: Saint-Alvère (5 km), Lalinde (14 km) and Le Bugue (15 km), and all the usual shops (supermarkets, butchers, bakeries, medical centres, restaurants…) with their weekly local artisan and farmers markets.
On a privileged site in a peaceful lush and unspoilt setting, the “Domaine des Fargues” has breathtaking views over more than 25 km as the crow flies. Here you will appreciate the restfulness and serenity of a holiday out of time.
This is the ideal starting point to explore the countless riches of the Périgord.
The 12 Périgourdin style lodgingsare built in a warm coloured stone. Recently they have been tastefully restored by lovers of authenticity, respecting its genuine character.
We didn’t in any way want to build under the pretext of profit, brutalize nature and break the charm of this unique place.
Services provided in all houses
Every house is equipped with a blooming terrace, garden furniture and a barbeque.
They all have a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and enough tableware to accommodate the number of people allowed per house. The sitting rooms with large couches have a flat screen television as well as a stereo system.
A communal Laundromat with several washing machines and dryers is made available to all our guests.
NB: The Cooper’s House, The Carpenter’s House, The Rope maker’s House and The Slater’s House are equipped with their own washing machine and dryer.
We will be happy to welcome you and make your holidays an enjoyable one. During your stay, they will take care of the daily maintenance of the swimming pools and the surroundings.
And finally, during the summer a free delivery service of breads and pastries is organised every morning at 7.
We warmly invite you to join us for a welcome drink on Sunday at the end of the day, where you can taste the wines of Julien de Savignac and the local products (foie gras, duck breast, terrines and cheeses).
